Fly an Italian marketer to Anaheim, in a typical Cali setting with boulevards lined with palm trees, backtail trunks the width of a parking lane, and coffee cups as tall as a kid…and “international experience” takes on a whole another meaning.
After a few years in events in the EMEA datacenter sector, I am no stranger to a fair bit of B2B show tricks, ambitious ceiling signs & paraphernalia, and special guests such as magicians or double decker buses on the exhibition grounds. However, it was with a genuine and childlike surprise that I enjoyed the unexpected live-music welcome at IPMI: a brass band wandering the hallways of the Convention Center, what a cheerful start into the show!
Definitely, the International Parking and Mobility Institute knows how to kick off and deliver a three-day annual conference that strikes their exhibitors and visitors; provide an adequate frame for industry discussions and updates; and ultimately, offer a pleasant program to network with peers, old friends, and prospects.
What I loved most of last week show:
A couple of things I am still mumbling about:
All in all, the #IPMI2019 has been a very good show for HUB and brought yet another chance to connect with existing and new contacts – connection us at the heart of everything we do.
From my professional and personal standpoint, I am even more convinced that it's easy to get along with coworkers from any place in the world, when you all share common goals, company culture values, and a vision for success…that is HUB-green, of course!
