Belluno, a charming city in the north-east of Italy, has taken a decisive step toward modernising its urban infrastructure, through the optimisation of key mobility factors. With the upgrade of its two main off-street parking areas, Lambioi and Metropolis, totalling over 1000 parking spaces, the city leverages technological innovation to improve the quality and the efficiency of its public parking services - for both residents and visitors.
The company responsible for parking management and operations in the city, Bellunum Srl, contracted HUB Italia to implement a digitalised end-to-end solution that combines the robust HUB Jupiter system with the JMS advanced management platform, driving efficiency, user convenience, and operational control.
Driven by the growing demand for more efficient and accessible mobility services, Bellunum took the opportunity to replace the outdated “traditional” ticketed parking systems serving two separate areas with a modern parking solution that is interconnected and fully managed through a single point of service: the centralised control room.
The integration of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology grants drivers a fast, contactless entry and exit. Payment is equally straightforward and convenient, with manual and automated pay stations. Meanwhile, the operator gained full visibility over the system activity, through real-time monitoring and remote management tools.
The Lambioi and Metropolis car park upgrade is an example of how cities are moving towards smart, sustainable, and digitally connected infrastructures.
