License Plate Recognition (LPR)

Every vehicle has one – a license plate. LPR is suitable for many applications. Please find a few examples below:

  • Prevent car thieves or ticket swapping - Ticket and license plate have to match at entry and exit
  • Contract parking (i.e. season parking or monthlies) using the vehicle License plate to enter and exit the car park
  • Entry by pre-paid ticket (i.e. using an online pre-paid system website that identifies the pre-paid customer by the license plate)
  • Lost your ticket - determine the actual entry time from your license plate
  • License plate details printed on the entry ticket

License Plate Inventory (LPI)

The License Plate Inventory (LPI) System is used to collect and record license plate data from vehicles to give the Parking Facility Staff a better understanding of the parking habits of patrons in addition to aiding the Parking Facility Staff in catching and stopping fraudulent practices.

Centralized Control Room

Save money and centralize your control room. Connect your car parks via a multi-site, ‘citywide’ or ‘countrywide’ network to a centralized control room monitored by a small number of car park operation specialists thus reducing staff costs. Statistics from the car parks are collated to provide unparalleled management information on occupancy, peak loads, financial status and revenue etc.

Contract Parking (Monthlies)

Parkers buy a contract for a period of time (e.g. week, month, year) and are allowed access using a card, proximity card, hands free AVI or by LPR.

  • Parkers use the contract card to enter and exit the car park – no ticket required
  • Contracts can be extended at the pay stations
  • Expired cards are automatically blocked
  • System records all entry and exit transactions 

Credit In / Credit Out

Take the Fast lane – get in and out of the car park with only a credit card and be environmentally friendly as no ticket is required.

  • Instead of requesting an entry ticket, insert a credit card into the ticket unit (for magnetic stripe cards), Chip & PIN terminal or present the credit card to a Visa payWaveTM reader. Entry details are sent to the Management System along with credit card information as an identifier. Credit card numbers are fully encrypted (PCI DSS compliant) or “tokenised”.
  • No need to go the pay station – go directly to the exit lane.
  • Use the same credit card as at the entry lane to identify the parking transaction. The calculated fee is displayed and charged to the credit card with an automatic receipt printed.

Parking Guidance

HUB provides a combination of vehicle count monitoring tools and variable message sign (VMS) systems to assist motorists and improve traffic flow in and around parking facilities.

Our real-time counts provide up-to-date information on the number of parking spaces available by parking garage level or section. This data can quickly be relayed to patrons via electronic message board along with recommended parking alternatives, traffic updates, instructions for parking during special events, or general messages.

VMS signs facilitate timely information updates and reduce the need for costly and more labor-intensive fixed message signs.

Valet Parking

Provides superior customer convenience in parking services. Valet parking uses a three part ticket with a barcode.

  • The parker leaves the vehicle at the Valet parking and takes part 1 of the parking ticket.
  • Staff will check for damage and record this along with vehicle details on part 2 of the ticket.
  • The ‘Hiker’ will leave part 3 of the ticket in the vehicle when they park it.
  • Vehicle information is tracked in the Management System
  • When the vehicle owner returns to the Valet parking area they hand in the ticket and a parking fee is calculated.
  • Once payment is received the vehicle is retrieved and returned to the customer

The Valet parking solution is fully integrated within the Management System.

Pre-Paid Parking Online

Pay for parking online, in advance and hassle-free. The system takes customers pre-payment for a specific car park along with a customer identifier and details of the paid period (i.e. start and end date/ time). This information is passed the Management System. When the pre-paid customer arrives at the car park they identify themselves using:

  • License Plate
  • Barcode Identifier Number (including 2D or QR barcodes that can be read from a Smartphone)
  • Credit card number (subject to the local credit card rules in your country)

Secured Credit Card payment EMV and PCI

Car parking systems have progressively adopted more complex payment methods to match current industry trends while also defending against fraudulent activity.
